Did my 1/2 mile warm-up and cool-down and ran the rest at 5mph. Today I downloaded a bunch of songs I love on the mp3 player and listened to them while I ran. I loved this because I could focus on songs instead of laps. One song equals about 1 lap for me so I just had to keep telling myself only "x" songs left. On the last song it was a little longer than the lap so I just kept running until the song was over...really good for me. I also carried two 2 1/2 pound weights for my first mile. I did some curls and arm lifts until I was really feeling the burn. I got a side cramp after about the 1st mile but I just kept running through my songs. I'm super sweaty but I feel good! |
