I did my normal 1/2 mile warm-up and cool down (1/4 mile each) and a 2 mile run. For my last 1/4 mile I ran at 6mph instead of 5mph. My goal is to add another 1/4 mile on Monday to my run so I'm trying to push myself on either speed or incline so that I don't fizzle out with a bigger distance. Right now one of my biggest challenges is the boredom of the treadmill, that and sometimes I get snappy at my kids if the come and try to talk to me while I'm running. I keep thinking that I want to work up to the 5 miles a day but I can't wrap my mind around how I will keep from going crazy for that long on the treadmill. Last Sat. Matt took the treadmill and let me run outside for the first time but I don't know if that was any better because it was storming and I couldn't see where I was going because my glasses kept getting covered with snow. Maybe this Sat. I could try an outside run again in better weather. Today I also did push-ups for the hundredpushups.com challenge. I'm on day 3 of week 2. I'm a wimp but I think I'm getting stronger.
