I had a lousy week of running last week and just didn't do two of my training runs at all. Oh well. It's a new week now and I am ready to do it. My run is Sat. and I'm just going to stop complaining and worrying and do it! I did my run this morning and it wasn't too bad. I decided to try a goo since I've never tried one before to see how I could stomach it. I ate an orange burst flavor just after my warm-up, which I could barely gag down because I couldn't find the berry ones that Matt bought for me to use. I knew that I wouldn't like the orange, I can't even drink orange gatorade without gagging. But, on the plus side, once it was down it didn't seem to upset my stomach at all. I hope that's a good enough test to use them on Sat. It was a short run so I don't know how much it helped energy-wise, I just wanted to make sure it didn't give me stomach cramps or make me puke. |
